Morocco – hotels : 275,000 operational beds

NEWSROOM (ADV) – Currently, Morocco has 275,000 operational beds, against 175,000 beds in 2010. Investments are more oriented towards high-end, since 60% of them concerned establishments 5, 4 and 3 stars.

It should be noted that around 19,000 beds are currently under development for delivery over the next 2-3 years, bringing the country’s capacity to more than 294,000 beds.

Note that the Secretary of State for Tourism, Lamia Boutaleb, announced, at the last Forum for Hotel Investment in Africa (FIHA) in Marrakech, that his department is currently working on a guarantee fund.

To maintain this growth, Lamia Boutaleb announced on February 7, at the hearing that her department is currently working on a major lever that will encourage investors to establish in Morocco and invest more in this dynamic field of business.
