Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (ADV) – Namibia’s Brave Warriors national soccer team will head to the African Cup of Nations tourney later this year due to a last-minute qualification in spite of a defeat.

Zambia spanked Namibia 4-1 at home at the National Heroes Stadium.

Zambia were well on the move to boot out Namibia but was interrupted by Guinea Bissau’s two goals in the dying minutes to beat Mozambique 3-2 on the same day, Saturday.

Namibia came into the final match of Group K in second place and needed a positive result against Zambia.

So, Namibia will head for a third appearance at Africa’s biggest soccer tournament in June/July 2019 in Egypt.

Namibia’s Brave Warriors’ first appearance was in 1998 with the famous goalkeeper Goeebler and later in 2008.
