NEWSROOM (ADV) – Libya’s UN-backed Prime Minister Fayez Serraj on Monday met with the Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar over military cooperation and fight against terrorism.
According to a statement by the Libyan prime minister’s information office, the discussion included cooperation in building Libyan defense and security through training programs, as well as activating agreements signed between the two countries.
The officials also discussed efforts to fight terrorism and coordination between ministries of defense of the two countries.
Serraj stressed importance of uniting the divided Libyan military “which requires united political will based on successful political path,” the statement said.
