The aforementioned bodies also confirmed their commitment to a national strike on April 4.

“After the meeting with the Minister of Health and the officials of the National Agency for Health Insurance, the private clinics decided to postpone the suspension of their dealings with the beneficiaries of the health coverage,” said Radwan al-Samlali.

The same spokesman said that “the decision of the private clinics, which would have been done by the end of March, caused by the non-revision of the national tariff, which makes the insured citizen of Morocco bears 57% of the remedial expenses.”

He called on the health institutions, headed by the Ministry of Health and other health care providers, to “enable patients with the Vital card, which allows everyone to treat without providing any dirham, to be cut off with any financial transaction directly with the patient, Expenses based on a clear and transparent information system, and the citizen must not feel any injustice as he feels and he is doing the expenses of treatment from his pocket.

In a related context, Dr. Moulay Said Afif, President of the National Union of Specialists in the Private Sector, confirmed that the strike decision is valid and will be on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
