Johannesburg, South Africa (ADV) – Zambia’s Watchdog has reported that the Kenyan Defence Force (KDF) recently shot down a Zambia Airforce (ZAF paratrooper).

Militarily, a paratrooper is a parachutist, trained to parachute into an operation.

According to the report, Warranty officer David Pumulo was shot dead by Kenyan Defence Force (KDF) who suspected the Zambian soldier of intruding.

This comes after some unconfirmed reports suggested that the ZAF High Command clinched a deal with a private company in Kenya to train parachutist without clearance from the Kenyan defense force.

The alert Kenyan soldiers shot Pumulo in the air after ejecting from the plane.

Warranty officer Pumulo died instantly before he could land from the height of 1000 feet above sea level.
The Zambia’s Watchdog also quoted unnamed sources citing that seven other ZAF paratroopers who went with deceased have since been retrieved from that country.

“There is a serious conspiracy to conceal information surrounding the death of warranty officer, Pumulo in the foreign land. We have been informed that the remains of Pumulo were flown into the country last night and will be flown to Khohima Barracks in Kabwe early in the morning amid tight security. Later his body will be transferred secretly to Kabwe Mine Hospital Mortuary again amid tight security,” reported the Watchdog.

The deceased is said to have left behind three children and his remains will be buried tomorrow at St Military burial site.
