South African National Defence Force confiscate dagga worth 2.1 million rands

Johannesburg, South Africa (ADV) – The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) recently confiscated 44 bags of dagga worth R2.1 million in Wepener in the Free State, African Daily Voice has learnt.

According to SANDF, the consignment was handed over to the South African Police Service.

“The interception of the large amount of dagga happened during the routine patrol by the troops in the area. This is part of the border patrol responsibility of the SANDF,” reads a statement issued by the Chief of Joint Operations, Lieutenant Colonel P.A.L. (Piet) Paxton.
