Johannesburg, South Africa (ADV) – South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Lindiwe Sisulu, and Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, will tomorrow on Friday are set to meet with the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions representing African countries in South Africa, African Daily Voice can confirm.
In the past few days South Africa has been experiencing sporadic xenophobic attacks across the country.
According to the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), the meeting is a follow-up to the first meeting that took place on Monday which saw Sisulu meeting up with Ambassadors from across African countries.
“At the meeting on Monday the Ministers together with the members of the Diplomatic Corps committed themselves to working together to find a lasting solution to issues relating to incidents of attacks between South Africans and foreign nationals,” reads a statement issued by DIRCO.
