The World Bank pledges to support Niger more in the education sector

NEWSROOM (ADV) – A delegation of the World Bank led by Jaime Saavedra Chanduvi, CEO of the institution’s educational expertise center, reiterated in Niamey, Niger Prime Minister Brigi Rafini the commitment of his institution to support Niger in the sector of education, was learned Thursday from official source.

The delegation which also includes Lily Meskerem Mulatu, Sector Director of Education for West Africa at the World Bank, was received in audience by the head of the Nigerian government in the presence of ministers of education, to discuss challenges and opportunities in the education sector in Niger.

“The Prime Minister shared with us the government’s commitment to work with the World Bank and other partners to tackle the major challenges of the quality of education as a government priority,” M said. Chanduvi.

“We reiterated our commitment to support the government in the education sector and also to see all that can be done in terms of our financial and technical support for the education sector,” he said.
