NEWSROOM (ADV) – The flights resumed Wednesday at the Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli, the Libyan capital, after several hours of closure by the authorities following the “infiltration” of an unidentified drone.
Eight international flights took off from the airport after the reopening of the terminals, the airport administration said in a statement.
The Civil Aviation Authority had previously suspended activity at the airport to “defend the air safety against the infiltration of the drone”.
This is the first time this airport is closed because of an unidentified drone.
