JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA (ADV) – Tanzania is set to receive an official declaration allowing all type of businesses to operate 24 hours daily.

The Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda promised that this move will be effected before the month-end.

He was recently quoted in media saying his office is still going to meet with the Dar es Salaam business community to discuss the terms before allowing them to operate business at night.

“Before we allow business owners a 24 hour operation there are issues that need to be worked on, such as installation of security rights and cameras all over the city,” said Makonda.

Meanwhile, Makonda spoke about renovations of the Coco Beach which are valued at Sh11.9 billion. He mentioned that they have submitted a request to the central government for them to be given funds to achieve their renovations goal.

“Coco beach will be a starting point to all the beaches in the city, making it more attractive for tourism and business activities. It will be renovated and built with three class levels, affordable for lower income earners, medium and for the higher income earners.”
