Senegal’s Teranga lions are best African soccer team – Fifa

Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia (ADV) – Senegal’s Teranga Lions coached by former Captain, Alioune Cissé are best African soccer team for November, Fifa announced on Thursday.

The two-times world cup players who have also qualified for the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year, replaced Tunisia as the highest ranked African national teams.

Cissé’s boys, mostly former Olympic champions rose from second place on the back of a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying victory in Equatorial Guinea during November.

Only five African countries — Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo — were among the top 50 in the world.
