Smartphones : the Egyptian SICO eyeing several African markets including Morocco

NEWSROOM (ADV) – The Egyptian Smartphone maker SICO (Silicon Industry Corporation) is to conquer African markets.

SICO wants to export to Morocco and other countries of the continent (South Africa, DRC, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Mozambique) in 2018 or early 2019.

The company expects to export 40% of its production.

Created in 2017, SICO is 80% owned by private investors. The company sells its smartphones under the Nile X brand.

With 42 million mobile subscriptions and 25 million unique mobile users, the penetration rate of Smartphones in Morocco reached a record 126% in 2017.
