NEWSROOM (ADV) – Nearly 1,000 small and medium-sized Senegalese businesses in the regions of Dakar, Thiès, Saint-Louis and Ziguinchor will be accompanied by Facebook, according to official sources this week in the Senegalese capital. This initiative is part of the project “Boost Your Business with Facebook” which was launched by representatives in sub-Saharan Africa of the company and the Senegalese authorities.

This is very good news for Senegalese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This weekend, the pilot phase for French-speaking Africa of the project “Boost your business with Facebook” was launched in the Senegalese capital. According to sources close to the case, the project aims to support a thousand SMEs in the country. “Boosting Your Business is a global program to strengthen small and medium-sized businesses. We train SMEs on how to use digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and the Internet, in general, to grow their businesses and attract many more customers, “said Aida Ndiaye, manager Facebook’s public policies for French-speaking Africa when launching the project.

“Senegal is the first country in French-speaking Africa to benefit from the project ” Boost your business with Facebook ”, which will benefit 1,000 SMEs. In other English-speaking African countries, including Kenya, South Africa and Ethiopia, this project has helped frame 30,000 SMEs since it was launched two years ago, “said Sherry Dzinovera, a member of the Facebook team for sub-Saharan Africa, who spoke at the launching ceremony of the project.
