Casablanca, Morocco (ADV) – US First Lady Melania Trump arrived Saturday in Egypt, the fourth and final leg of her tour of Africa, where she must visit the pyramids of Giza.
Surrounded by very strict security measures, Ms. Trump was greeted at the Cairo airport by the wife of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Entissar al-Sisi. She must then go to the presidential palace, according to the Egyptian press.
She will also visit the US embassy and visit the famous Giza pyramids near Cairo. It should also, according to the Egyptian press, go to the site of the future great museum that will house the rich collections of Egyptian antiquities.
Melania Trump began her tour of Ghana on Tuesday, before stopping in Malawi and Kenya.
The strong relationship established between Cairo and Washington after the Camp David accords in 1978, had a troubled period after the army’s dismissal in 2013 of Muslim Brotherhood president Mohamed Morsi.
