Casablanca (ADV) – A program to consolidate Equatorial-Tunisian cooperation in the field of health has just been set up by the two countries. It was during a meeting that took place on August 30, between Tunisian Minister of Health Imed Hammami and his Equatorial Guinean counterpart, Salomon Nguema Owono.
During this meeting, the Equatorial Guinean Minister of Health, accompanied by the Counselor of the Equatorial Guinea Embassy in Tunisia, Javier Nguema Onguene, signed, with Tunisia, numerous cooperation agreements in the health sector.
At the end of the meeting, Hammami stressed that this cooperation concerns in particular the fields of training and medical studies. He also added that Tunisia will offer its support to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in the sector of drugs and pharmaceutical industries and in the management of health structures.
For his part, Minister Salomon Nguema Owono emphasized the importance for his country to benefit from the Tunisian experience in health.
Tunisian Minister of Health and Welfare Salomon Nguema Owono’s visit to Tunisian comes after President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo’s official visit to Tunisia last February, during which he signed several agreements.
