Casablanca, (ADV) – Salisu Yusuf, chief coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, has been caught on camera receiving bribe.

The coach has been caught on camera taking N360, 000 from fake football agents. The latter wanted him to select two players of their choice for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The fake football agents had approached Salisu Yusuf back in September 2017 to discuss players’ selection. He then received N360, 000, equivalent of 1,000 dollars, in exchange of selecting two designed players.

After the video was made public, an investigation has started based on the footage. The coach denied any wrongdoing, stating, first, that the money was offered to him and that he never committed to selecting the players in exchange of it. He also clarified that he did not receive 1,000 dollars but 750.

The players were eventually selected for the 2018 African Nations Championship, but it is yet uncertain whether or not their selection was a result of the money given to the coach.
