Libya : another major immigrants rescue off western coast

Casablanca, (ADV) – Libyan navy on Sunday rescued 116 illegal immigrants on a rubber boat off the coast of the western city of Zuwara, some 120 km west of the capital Tripoli.

“Coast guards patrol of Tripoli managed to rescue 116 illegal immigrants from eight different African nationalities, including five women, on a rubber boat,” the navy said in a statement.

The rescued immigrants were taken to Tajura reception center near Tripoli, the navy said.
