Casablanca (ADV) – Africa’s largest port, namely ‘Tanger Med’ in Morocco emerged to be a productive shipping hub.
The port’s two terminals TC1 and TC2 processed 1,668,566 twenty foot equivalent units (TEU) by the end of June, an increase of 7 percent, according to a statement from the port authorities.
Vehicle traffic was up by 18% with 252,194 vehicles handled. This includes the 204,244 vehicles which were handled at Renault’s terminal, of which 160,757 were destined for export from the Renault Tanger Med factory.
